When you call us, we listen first. We want to know what the fence is for, keeping a dog in, blocking a view, defining a side yard, and what you have in mind for the look of it. We schedule a time to walk the line with you, and we bring a tape and a notepad. On site we look at the grade, the soil type, where the sprinkler heads and utility markers are, and how the lot drains. We ask about property pins and any shared boundary agreements. Then we talk through what will hold up best on your ground and what will not, and we give you a written quote that breaks out materials and labor so you can see where the money goes.
We build with treated southern yellow pine for the posts and rails, and we set the posts in concrete below the frost line, that is the difference between a fence that stays straight for years and one that leans after two winters. For pickets we use cedar or pine, depending on what matches your house and budget, and we fasten them with hot-dipped galvanized screws, not staples or nails that work loose. On chain link we stretch the fabric tight and use a tension bar, not just ties. Every gate gets a welded frame with a turnbuckle on the sag side. The finish is a consistent gap, a level top rail, and a gate that swings free without dragging.
Fencing and decking done properly
Our crew works on your property, so we treat it like our own. We lay down plywood or ram board where we are walking heavy loads, and we keep the truck and trailer on the street or the driveway apron unless you say otherwise. We run a generator for the saws and compressors, but we shut it down during breaks and we do not leave it running all day. We set the post holes by hand or with a two-man auger to keep the mess tight, and we haul off every scrap of lumber, every cut end, every nail strip and wire tie before we pull out. When we leave, the only thing new is the fence.
